Brashear Requests Trade

Andrew Gross at the Bergen Record reports that Donald Brashear is so unhappy with his role on the Rangers he has asked for a trade...

"It just shows me they don’t believe in me," Brashear told The Record. "I ask for a trade, that’s more likely why I’m not playing any games. Usually, when you ask for a trade, they don’t play you."

Brashear also takes a shot at former Ranger tough guy Colton Orr...

"At the same time, I don’t really understand what they expect," said Brashear, who injured his hand early in the season and recently had a hamstring issue. "Do they want a showman like they had in Orr or do they want a guy that can play and fight?"

...i think Brashear is officially delusional. Yes the Rangers want a guy who can play and fight too bad you haven't done either.

...someone should show Brashear the video of Orr dropping Carkner so he knows what a tough guys is supposed to do.

...i'm surprised this is the first we're hearing of the trade request. Unfortunately, I don't think another team is stupid enough to take on a broken down enforcer making $1.4 per.

Wow, dude PLEASE. Get lost Brashear. Colton has more KOs than you by at least oh, say ten.

Just retire already.

1 down, 1 to go. Loving my early season predictions. Just get rid of torts and we are already getting better

justdance...i think new york needs a guy like torts, someone whos going to flip out at players when they mess up...hes held redden somewhat responsible but i think it has more to do with sather and the money he signed him for, cant scratch a 6.5 million dollar "player" for half the season..

and orrs a showman? ive seen brashear drop his gloves off a faceoff plenty of times...im not sure what he means by that...

orr also won probably 80% of his fights...id rather be a showman and win then be some beaten up enforcer who looks quite timid on the ice

Never liked the aquisition of this bum and I won't miss this him for a second.

BTW am I the only one who watched Colton Orr score on a breakaway a few weeks ago?

Brashear has 1 assist and is a -9 way to play the game.

We should get Colton Orr back if he'll have us.
