Straka In, Shanny Out

Sam Weinman at The Ranger Report gives an early update on tonight's lineup...

"The Rangers are likely to welcome back Martin Straka into the lineup a week after the left wing suffered a concussion in Edmonton.

But they will likely be without Brendan Shanahan, who is still dealing with some issues related to his left knee.

No word on lines just yet, but we know Henrik Lundqvist gets back on the horse two days after his six-goal effort against Philly."

...always great when Straka is in the lineup because of the effect he has on Jagr.

...I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually happy to hear Shanahan might not play tonight. His knee has obviously been giving him trouble recently and his play has suffered. I'd rather him sit a few games, get healthy and be ready to go for another playoff push.

...good to see Lundqvist back in goal. The best thing is to get him right back in there.
