Lundqvist Negotiations On Track Despite Struggles

John Dellapina at The Daily News reports that Don Meehan, Henrik Lundqvist's agent, says that negotiations on a contract remain on track...

"Don Meehan, the agent for Lundqvist, said that negotiations with the Rangers on a long-term contract for the franchise goaltender remain on track, with Lundqvist's struggles having had no impact on either side's desire to get a deal done."

...I'm very surprised that the Rangers haven't moved to get this done sooner. With the way Lundqvist has been struggling, you have to figure the negotiations are on his mind. The Rangers need to lock him up now so he can move on.

...on the other hand maybe the Rangers are holding back because of Lundqvist's struggles. If that's the case they should bring up Montoya to see what he's got.
