"The feeling of a class reunion permeated the Flyers' practice rink yesterday as some players on the mend took part in practice with the intent of playing against the New York Rangers tonight at Madison Square Garden, and most of the scrutiny centered on the big man on campus, Simon Gagne.
Gagne, the star winger who averaged 44 goals the last two seasons, is expected to make his long-awaited return after missing two months recovering from a concussion and a neck injury.
'I felt good on the ice, and I'm looking forward to playing in New York,' Gagne said after practice..."
...at first you would think this is more bad news for the Rangers, but you have to figure Gagne will be very hesitant tonight and hopefully a non-factor.
...earlier this year, Gagne tried to return to the lineup against the Rangers after experiencing dizziness and the Rangers shut him and the Flyers out 2-0. Let's hope for a repeat performance.
