...like I said in my previous post I actually like the signing, but I hate the contract. Years and money wise. Didn't Sather tell Brooks the Rangers weren't going to overpay this offseason?

“We were only interested in doing a two-year deal because of his age,” Sather said of the 34-year-old Shelley. “I knew at the time it would be a problem because he was looking for a three-year deal and we really didn’t want to get into a three-year deal. That’s really when we changed our minds.”
...great job by Sather here. I loved what Shelley did after coming to the Rangers last season but could you imagine him in year three? Yikes.

Boogaard said playing with Gaborik again (teammates in Minnesota) was a big reason for him signing with the Rangers while Biron stated that being taught under Benoit Allaire was a big attraction for him.

He is big, young and tough!!!! Under Torts he is only going to play 4-5 mins a night anyway....with Shelly anyting more than 1-2 years and you have the next brashear... a punch drunk fighter/player that has taken one to many punches and has no busniess on the ice
I have no problem as well. A player that commands 1.6M, plays half the season and once scored 5 yrs ago. Maybe we can have him beatup the players that score the goals against us.
Guys just go YT and remind yourselfs exactly who did we sign - Boogard is nothing short of a monster - if any vermin like carcillo shows his face in msg he will not only get beaten up but humilieted and thats why we pay so much - no lost fights for us anymore :D !!!
