i really hope he is never the captain. comes to play one out of 4 games. can't motivate himself never mind others. cally and staal and even the next generation in a guy like stepan would be far better choices when drury leaves in 2 years
i've seen plenty of people say if you put callys effort in dubinskys body you'd have something. when he comes to play he can be effective. i think he tends to sulk when not put on a line with gaborik. also so many of our fanbase overhypes this guy. i just don't see anywhere near the consistency to justify that. he's not that young anymore 24 to use the he's young excuse either. well he's in contract year so maybe he'll bring his A game more often to cash in at contract time.
i remember dubinsky giving up the puck at the opponents blue line trying to make a fancy play. and the other team comes down on rush and someone (i think it was dubinsky) crashing into henrik after the other team having 2 or 3 attempts after the initial rush. i really thought henrik was hurt on the play. wanted to kill dubinsky right then and there.
I like Dubi, brings his game and has the necessary skills to be effective. Has the leadership qualities and work ethic to make a difference on a team that is hurting for consistency.
i've yet to see his leadership unless it was playing play station with zherdev, i would be sorely disappointed if he gets an A or C on his jersey. certainly not for at least 3 yrs and in that case it would be an A not C.
they want to give out to home grown besides cally , who is heir apparant to thr C when drury leaves in 2yrs, they have staal and even stepan.

Wow Joe, you really feel that way about Dubinsky. That's the first time I've ever heard someone questioning his effort.
