Naslund Defying Father Time

Spector over at Fox Sports takes a pictorial look at ten veterans that are still big in the clutch including the Rangers Markus Naslund...

Markus Naslund, N.Y. Rangers

Five seasons of declining production led the Vancouver Canucks to cut their former captain loose but the 35-year-old Naslund appears to have found a happy new home with the Rangers. In 27 games, Naslund has 20 points -- good for second in team scoring and on pace for a 60-point performance. He'll probably never again hit the lofty heights of the 90-100 point seasons that he enjoyed earlier this decade with the Canucks but he could be a reliable 55-65 point player for the Rangers for this season and next.

...Naslund has definitely come in here and helped fill the burden of losing lots of goals with Rangers declining to re-sign Jagr, Shanahan and Straka.

...he hasn't been great, but he's made his goals count this year.

He should stick with Zherdev—if he feeds him any more insanely awesome passes Nazzy will wind up an overweight beast.
