Canucks Interested in Gomez

Bruce Garrioch at the Ottawa Sun is reporting that if the Vancouver Canucks lose out on the Mats Sundin sweepsteaks, GM Mike Gillis will go shopping and the most likely targets will be the Rangers' Scott Gomez and Habs' Robert Lang.

Garrioch adds that Gomez, who is making an average of $7.3 million for the next four years, has a limited no-movement clause, but could be convinced to go to Vancouver.

...very doubtful that the Rangers would be looking to trade their best puck moving forward no matter how grossly over-paid he is. And even less doubtful that Gomez would accept the move.
