Sam Weinman at The Rangers Report notes that Tom Renney has decided to go against his initial instinct to keep the lines intact by coming out with these combinations at practice today...
Naslund-Gomez-Zherdev
Korpikoski-Drury-Callahan
Voros-Dubinsky-Prucha
Sjostrom-Betts-Orr
Weinman notes that the defensive pairings will stay the same and the team didn’t practice the power play so it’s too early to tell whether they made any adjustments there.
...to me the most amazing thing here is that the Rangers didn't practice their power play today. When you're 22nd in the league, practicing the power play has to be mandatory.
...to the lines. It's about time Renney put Zherdev with Gomez. That combination has the potential to do some damage. Would have liked to have seen a Naslund-Dubinsky-Callahan line because it reminds me of the Jagr-Dubinsky-Avery line that clicked last year.
...looks like Prucha made the right decision to stay.

I like that Drury is back at center, which I think he's best suited for. Also I've been waiting for the Gomez-Zherdev-Naslund combo. I wonder if Renney would think about trying Dubinsky on the wing. Maybe on a line with Drury and Callahan.
