Auditing the Rangers System

Leslie Treff at HockeyFuture's gives the Rangers system a thorough audit.

Treff takes a look at each position noting that center is one of the Rangers strongest positions in the organization with four excellent ones currently on the NHL team and 12 centers who are prospects, including six in the Top 20. Treff specifically mentions Artim Anisimov and 2008 draft pick Evgeny Grachev.

Treff thinks the Rangers are thin at wing and says 'Right wing is the Rangers weakest organizational position.' While stating the Rangers are deep at defense and in goal.

Treff finally feels that the Rangers will most likely focus on getting some scoring wingers in the upcoming drafts.

...anyone interested in how the Ranger's organization is doing should give this a read.

The RW spot definitely took a hit when probably our best prospect in Cherepanov passed.
