Voros, Lisin on Waivers

Larry Brooks of the New York Post takes to Twitter to report that the Rangers have placed Aaron Voros and Enver Lisin on waivers.

...with the trading deadline tomorrow at 3pm, something must be brewing.

...i like what Voros brings to the team and am not happy to see this, but his $1 million salary could open some cap space to bring in a skilled player.

...as far as Lisin goes, not so sure why everyone is so high on him. He's Freddie Sjostrom (speed and can't score) without the defensive ability.

Im not totally against this, but its semi disapponting. I generally like Voros as a player with his work ethic and team attitude.... but he really doesnt do much for the team.

Lisin... meh. Whatever.

I love Voros's grit but I guess that Prust can fill that role better so the cap space is welcome. Lisin is fast and has some moments but they are too few and far in between. Lets see what developes in the next 24 hours before getting too excited about anything except Gabby's groin issue.

No more Lisin? I can't say this is such a big loss for the team except that Lisin cost us Korpikoski, a first round pick who was brought up at the right pace within our organization, ipso facto Lisin is another first round bust, thus proving once again that Sather sucks.
