Rangers Win Hummer Metro Ice Challenge

That's the last time I listen to a Media Relations VP from the Islanders. Since Mr. Botta's statement that the Hummer Metro Ice Challenge fiasco was going to be cleared up last night during Hockey Night Live's playoff preview didn't happen and MSGNetwork has yet to answered my e-mail, I'm ready to officially declare the New York Rangers the winners of the 2007-2008 Hummer Metro Ice Challenge. Not sure what charity the Rangers will be donating the $50,000 to because MSGNetwork doesn't inform us on their HMIC homepage, but I'm sure its a worthwhile cause. Congratulations Rangers. Good luck next year to the Islanders and Devils.

And how, exactly, does anyone come to the conclusion that the Rangers would win the challenge? Because they played better outside the metro challenge than anyone else? It's patently a scam, the best the rags should hope for is a tie, because they lose all real tiebreakers.
