Ranger Injury Updates

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports...

"Colton Orr (broken foot) skated before practice and no longer has to wear the protective boot. He said he expects to skate harder tomorrow, and while coach Tom Renney ruled Orr---who needs to raise his level of conditioning---out of the next few games, without a setback, he might be ready late in this series or if the Rangers advance, the next one.

Blair Betts, the fourth-line center and penalty-killer who played just 7:38 on Wednesday, says he's not even thinking about his right foot, where an infection triggered minor surgery on March 21.

And defenseman Paul Mara skated without the full-cage mask that doctors required him to wear following an operation to repair broken bones under his eye. Mara, who played 14:14 and didn't have a shot, said his vision without the bars is far better."

...this is all great news. Not sure Orr coming back is really going to help us, but it'll be nice to have him ready to go just in case.
