Shanahan Meets With Flyers

Tim Panaccio at CSNPhilly.com reports that Brendan Shanahan met with the Philadelphia Flyers yesterday. The Flyers are about $700,000 under the NHL’s $56.7 million salary cap and would have to make a move to bring in Shanahan. Although some sources have said Shanahan could be willing to play for less than $1 million.

The Flyers have expressed interest due to the team's unhappiness with the defensive play of his forwards.

...from what I've read the Flyers need blueline help more than another forward where they have lots of depth. Despite that, Shanahan going to a divisional opponent, especially the Flyers, is a nightmare scenario.

...by the way do you think Knuble is going to apologize to Shanahan for knocking him out two years ago in that freak collision? In my opinion Shanahan was never the same player after that concussion.
