Renney Meets with Zherdev & Voros

Tom Renney had brief meetings with Nikolai Zherdev and Aaron Voros today to address their benchings last night.

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants says that in Zherdev's case, Renney admitted that he might have a shorter leash than other players once he starts freelancing because of his previous reputation for doing so.

...while watching the game last night I didn't notice Zherdev or Voros doing anything that would have warranted a benching. Although maybe they got benched for not doing anything. But if that was the case the entire team could have been benched, sans Lunqvist.

I agree too..I also thought it was weird that when Zherdev was named the second star last night he didn't even show face. Obviously he was pissed b/c of the benching but still he should of showed face.

Eh maybe, on the other hand it shows how seriously he's taking his role in NYC and that if he doesn't perform...he's mentally ruined. Welcome to NY.
