Rissmiller to Hartford

After spending about a month in NHL purgatory, Steve Zipay at Blue Notes is reporting that Patrick Rissmiller has been sent to Hartford on a conditioning stint.

Dubi at the Blueshirt Bulletin says it's 'not an outright assignment, so he will not have to pass through re-entry waivers if and when the Rangers need him. But he will remain on the Rangerroster in the meantime.'

...this is good to hear. I'm sure Rissmiller wasn't happy sitting in the press box night after night.

...hopefully he can go down there and tear it up, so we can find a team to trade him to.
