The New York Rangers (11-5-1) host the Edmonton Oilers (7-6-1) tonight at MSG starting at 7 p.m. For a preview go to newyorkrangers.com.

For last minute news go to The Rangers Report or Blue Notes.

Probable Lines:

Sjostrom-Betts-Orr

Redden-Girardi
Kalinin-Rozsival
Staal-Mara

Goaltenders:

Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers - 2-0-0, 1.64 gaa, .951 sv%, 0 so.

Notes:
- The last time Edmonton played the Rangers at MSG was on Mark Messier Night in 2006. Tonight they meet on the night former Oiler and Ranger Glen Anderson is being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

- The Rangers are 7-3-0 at home this season; The Oilers have posted a 5-6-0 record in 11 road contests.

- Rangers defensemen have combined to record 20 points (two goals and 18 assists) in the last six games.

- The Oilers are currently 3-3-0 on their seven game road trip.

- Ales Hemsky, the Oilers leading scorer with 15 points, has scored all five of his goals over the last four games and has recorded at least one point in six consecutive contests. While defenseman Sheldon Souray has a goal in three of his last four contests and five points during that span.

- Oiler rookie goaltender Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers will make his second straight start and only his third of the season after making 37 saves in a 2-1 win against New Jersey yesterday.

...i'd be remiss if I didn't mention that tonight marks Jason Strudwick's return to the Garden. While Strudwick wasn't the best defenseman in Rangers history, he was a great team guy who was always there to stand-up for a teammate. Strudwick has 0 goals, 2 assists and is a +3 with 7 penalty minutes in 11 games for the Oilers this year.

Korpikoski-Drury-Fritsche...wow really? I hope during your wrap-up of tonight's game you comment on that lineup. Curious to know how you think it panned out.

Guess Renney decided not to go with that line, instead going with a line of Voro-Korpikoski-Fritsch. Huh?
