...luckily for me I missed the game live and had to watch it on Rangers in 60. That was one brutal game until the Dawes goal. It's amazing how poorly this team plays until they score a goal. Then it's like a switch goes on and they dominate. Having said that, you just cannot count this team out of any game. I love their fight.
...speaking of dominating, can we just give Lunqvist the Vezina now. Unreal effort again to almost single handily give the Rangers two points tonight.
...i'll now go from dominating to embarrassing by talking about Rozsival's forgettable game tonight. The two turnovers directly leading to Bruin goals were sloppy and inexcusable and the crowd sure let him know it. I think Renney also sent Rozsival a message by not putting him back out there on the power play for the rest of the game.
...starting to really like the Dawes-Korpikoski-Fritsche line. 2 goals, 6 assists and a +8 in the last two games. Lots of speed and youthful enthusiasm. Unfortunately, when Gomez comes back this line will probably be broken up, but enjoy it while you can.
...since his two goal effort against the Islanders on October 27th, Captain Chris Drury has really stepped up his game (5 goals, 1 assist and tonight's shootout winner). He seems more and more comfortable every game. Not sure if he put too much pressure on himself after being named Captain, but he's firing on all cylinders right now.
...nice early season statement game from the Rangers tonight, off tomorrow then Ottawa in town on Monday.

Wow, such a tame game all around! It was boring until the last eight minutes until Dawes scored. Even the fight sucked.
Anyone notice how the camera kept singling out Callahan? I like him and all but...really?
I also got really tired of the MSG crew drooling all over Chara—enough already...he's big and he's he captain, we get it.
The positives were Mara, Staal and Lundqvist...all were rock solid...as well as the K-man. And one more note...Rangers fans LOVE to get on D men when they F-up. In recent memory Poti, Tytuin, Malik... comes to mind...if you mess up as a D in NYC be prepared to hear it...oh, and Redden fell down at a really bad time.
Before Sam Rosen mentioned how the team misses Gomez I thought the same thing. Who is in charge of this team on the ice?
The effort at the end was so damn awesome I just really wish they could turn in on earlier...glad to see Zherev deke on the shootout and CLUTCH Drury score on the laser shot.
Two points, yes please.
Thanks for the additional analysis Jack.
I also forgot to mention how putrid out power play looked again. No goals on two 5 on 3s and a shorthanded against. Please let Tampa Bay be interested in Perry Pearn.
I also thought the players looked extra pumped after the win. Like they knew this was a big one.
Anyone else think Staal should get a chance on the Power play. Cant do much worse the Redden and Rozival. Mara and girardi should get some time too. not kalinin.
