Shanahan & Flyers At Odds on Contract

The Philadelphia Flyers are still waiting to hear back from Brendan Shanahan on their $1 million offer. Shanahan, who is also believed to be negotiating with the New Jersey Devils, is expected to come to a decision by the end of last week says Chuck Gormley at The Courier Post.

Apparently the Flyers contract offer does not meet Shanahan's demands, presumably in the $1.5 million range.

...well it looks like either way Shanahan is going to be staying in the Atlantic Division.

...both the Flyers and Devils are struggling right now and a player like Shanahan could really make a positive difference. Unfortunately for us.
