...it was a tale of two Ranger teams again tonight. The first team was lucky to get out of the first period tied (thank god for Lundqvist) and the second drove to the net, made smart decisions and created a number of quality scoring chances.

...congrats to Dubinsky on the "Gordie Howe Hat Trick "(a goal, an assist and a fight). Man did he need a game like that to get his confidence going.

...we've all been impressed with Zherdev's scoring talents so far this year, but tonight he displayed his awesome play making ability as well with three assists and he probably could have had more.

...Gomez looked great in his return tonight. He was real strong on the puck and skated through Coyote defenders at will. It was nice to see him get the empty netter at the end. Gomez was also 19 of 23 faceoffs.

...finally!!! We were able to get an important power play goal to ice a game. Amazing.

...not all good tonight as Rozsival continues to regress. Another night filled with give aways. Not sure what's going on with him right now, but he might need to sit a few games to clear his head.

...all-in-all a big win if only to get the bad taste of the last two games out of our mouths. Off tomorrow then on to Tampa.

Fleisch...that's pretty much the case. Truth be told the Coyotes, though they work hard, are a young and sloppy team. If the Rangers didn't win....ouch.

That said, a win is a win and you HAVE to beat teams like that to afford a few losses to divisional rivals. I'm embarrassed to say I almost forgot how well Gomez moves the puck. Damn, he's good.

Zherdev was unbelievable, yeah a few dopey giveaways but right now he is THE playmaker. Give him some ice and dude just destroys anyone in his way.

Betts had a real solid game as well. Staal needs to slow his roll a little as far as joining the rush—I'm sure he's frustrated the team doesn't score but he shouldn't try and be a hero. Take it easy Bobby Orr.
