Sjostrom to Get Pay Cut, Not Pay Raise

Dubi at the Blueshirt Bulletin clarifies Freddie Sjostroms contract situation...

"Freddie Sjostrom is apparently more clearheaded than we are -- he is not seeking a big raise over last year's $800,000 salary, he is actually ready to accept a cut to $650,000 in exchange for a two-year deal, with negotiations over those terms still ongoing. Kudos to Sjostrom -- those are the right terms for him."

...now that makes a lot more sense.

Dubi also links to a story from the Winnipeg Sun on hometown boy Nigel Dawes re-signing with the Rangers.
