Scotty Hockey says it wasn't smart for Glen Sather to just hand Rozsival, a player coming off of a surgery, a contract for $5 million a year here. Scotty then says the biggest problem with signing Redden is that it relegates Marc Staal to the third defensive pairing here.
Mike at Rangerland.net says that people were handing out suicide pills on their message boards after the Redden signing.
Pucks on Broadway says that Redden is a true power play quarterback that has a proven track record and the Rangers didn't really overpay.
Gootzman at The Corner of Section 420 & Glendale says Sather better have something up his sleeve after missing out on guys like Radim Vrbata and Brian Rolston for offense.
The Manic Ranger Fan says that signing Redden was a bad move especially after they already had re-signed Rozsival and they have Sanguinetti ready to make an impact. He also feels that if Redden doesn't perform he'll become a more expensive Marek Malik.
Finally over at Tyutin Land, Salute Tyut says that Redden was worth the money and that Rozsival will be better now that he's not the #1 defenseman.
