...i refuse to believe the Rangers are interested in Sundin. No cap room. Too many centers. Enough veteran leadership. I can go on and on. Plus Eklund is reporting it so you know its not true.
Eklund also says that Shanahan is waiting on Sundin as three teams rumored to be in the Sundin sweepstakes (Rangers, Canadiens & Canucks) are also considering Shanahan.

Reasons why the Rangers are in on Sundin:
a) Presence of his Swede buddies.
b) Barnett is here and he is his former agent.
c) It was said that Sundin approached NY originally.
d) Sather is in love with him.
e) Why do you think that Shanny hasn't been told yes or no?
Given all of that... Montreal can offer more and have just as a good a shot at the CUP, therefore they might be the most attractive option. I would be shocked if he chose the Rangers.
