Rangers In Discussions With Dubinsky

In an article on the end of Nikolai Zherdev's time with the Rangers, Larry Brooks at the New York Post notes that the Rangers are in talks with Brandon Dubinsky...

"The Post has learned the team is in conversations with Dubinsky's representative regarding contracts of varying lengths, though neither party would characterize the state of the discussions that will accelerate upon the conclusion of Zherdev's final 96 hours."

Brooks adds that Dubinsky's agent is certain to cite Ryan Callahan's deal during negotiations.

...its about time we're hearing news on a deal with Dubinsky. I was starting to get worried. I think Dubinsky is in-line for a bounce back year after a bit of a sophomore slump.

I wouldn't call it a slump, more like a flat-line, since he didn't progress or regress, he basically had the same season.
