Lundqvist A Top Swede in NHL

Mike G. Morrale at NHL.com takes a look at the top 10 Swedes currently playing in the NHL, where Henrik Lundqvist checked in at #3...

3. Henrik Lundqvist, G, N.Y. Rangers: Lundqvist became the first goalie in NHL history to win at least 30 games in each of his first four seasons in the League; in 2008-09 he went 38-25-7 with a 2.43 goals-against average and .916 save percentage. He was a finalist for the Vezina Trophy in each of his first three seasons.

...while Lundqvist has been amazing for the Rangers since coming into the league, i think he needs to take his game to the next level this year or you have to start wondering if Lundqvist can lead this team to a Stanley Cup.

Um What next level? he's been the best player on the team for the last 3 years. If we had a strong defense taking care of business in front of his crease and an offense that scores more than 1 or 2 goals a game we might get to the finals.

Give him the "A" on his jersey!

The next level meaning out of the second round. If you look at Lundqvist in the playoffs he's been spotty. Terrible in 2006, outplayed by Miller in 2007, outplayed by Fluery in 2008 and while he was great in the beginning of the Washington series this year he faded at the end.
