Anisimov Back to Hartford

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports that the Rangers sent Artem Anisimov back down to Hartford after only one game.

In other news, Arthur Staple at Blue Notes reports that Renney put the team through a series of wind sprints due to the team's inability to drive to the net and create scoring chances.

Here's Wade Redden on today's sprint filled practice...

"It's been a while since I've seen one like that," Wade Redden said. "We've got to realize what the message is. If we play hard and skate hard like that, we won't have to deal with one of these again."

...i guess 9:27 was enough for the Rangers to decide that Anisimov is not NHL ready. Typical.

...while Anisimov looked very tentitive last night, it was his first game, on Graves night and he played on a line with Korpikoski and Voros. Talk about setting the guy up to fail. How about centering him with Dubinski and Zherdev on wing then see how he performs?

...nice to see Renney drop the hammer on these guys a bit today.

...hey Redden, it's also been a while since we've seen you score a goal.
