Rangers Still Linked to Tkachuk

Lyle "Spector" Richardson at The Hockey News says that the Rangers are one of a handful of teams that are speculated destinations for St. Louis Blues forward Keith Tkachuk.

Tkachuk, 16 goals, 17 assists, is in the final year of his contract that pays him $4 million this year. Meaning the Rangers would have to pick up just under $2 million for the rest of the year.

...if the Rangers claim Avery it is going to be very difficult to get Tkachuk under the cap unless St. Louis would be willing to take a few players (Prucha and Voros) back.

...the sad thing is with 16 goals, if the Rangers traded for Tkachuk today he would be tied for the team lead in goals.

...i actually think adding both Tkachuk and Avery would be very good moves for the Rangers. As they'd address the lack of passion and scoring. Both which are desperately needed.

I've always loved Tkachuk and have wanted him on the Rangers for a long time.
