Adam Proteau at The Hockey News takes stock of team showings and puts the Rangers in the 'About What I Expected' category saying...
New York Rangers: Now, some of you are saying, ‘Wait a second – didn’t you pick the Blueshirts to finish 11th this year? How is that not exceeding expectations?’ And some of me is admitting that is true. But would anyone bet their house the Rangers’ defense corps makes them a threat to play deep into May and June? Anyone other than Jaromir Jagr, I mean.
...while the team's record should put them in the 'Better Than Expected' category the team's play makes Proteau's categorization correct.

still, he said 11th in the conference???? then justifies it by saying this team wont go deep in the playoffs anyway? Doesnt make any sense, a first round exit is still better than 11th in the conference. way to try to cover up that you were way off proteau.
Wow, Proteau's paragraph is poorly worded and structured. The guy has three question marks in what's supposed to be an insightful statement. Did THN fire all their editors?
