A couple of reader comments on some Ranger blogs are stating Darren Dreger at AM640 in Toronto is also reporting that the Rangers have waived Fritche. Nothing on the TSN website under transactions.
...we all talk about how Peter Prucha doesn't get a chance on this team. But no one got less of a chance than Fritsche.
...the Rangers open up $875,000 by waiving Fritsche. Unless of course he clears waivers and the Rangers keep him on the roster the way they did with Rissmiller.

They won't open up the full $875k, because more than half the season has been played already. It's closer to $400k.
