Zherdev Dogging It?

So much for all the good vibes during training camp. Despite other news outlets reporting how well the Naslund-Gomez-Zherdev was playing, Larry Brooks at the New York Post has decided to rain on everyone's parade in his article today on Nikolai Zherdev...

"The 23-year-old took short cuts throughout the charged morning scrimmage, once turning over the puck while dangling one-on-one three feet inside the offensive line, the giveaway leading to a goal-against, and consistently failed to move either the puck or his feet with any obvious purpose."

....wow!!! This is a complete shock. In every scrimmage update I've seen, the Naslund-Gomez-Zherdev line was being praised. Not sure if Brooks is just overstating things or we should start getting concerned.
