In Jason Kay's article "Seven who ought to be sensations" at The Hockey News, he thinks a change of scenery will do Nikolai Zherdev some good...Nikolai Zherdev, Rangers, 23 (drafted fourth overall, 2003). The Rick Nash-Nikolai Zherdev glam show we anticipated in Columbus never really materialized…at least not the Zherdev part. Sixty-one points last season would have been fine for a player of lesser talent. Maybe Manhattan will inspire him.
...i absolutely agree that Zherdev needs the bright lights to succeed. I think the bigger the spot the better this kid will play. God I hope I'm right.
