Rangers Fail at Giving Back to Fans

In ESPN The Magazine's eighth annual Ultimate Standings, in which they measure how much MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL franchises give back to the fans in exchange for all the time, money and emotion the fans invest in them they rank the Rangers 104 out of 122 franchises.

Rankings are based on Bang For The Buck, Fan Relations, Ownership, Affordability, Stadium Experience, Players, Coaching and Title Track.

The Rangers best score was on title track (what?) and worst on affordability.

...based on those categories I would have thought they actually should have been worse. But 104 out of 122 is putrid.

With Stats at the helm what type of results was anybody expecting? In my book - its about right. One cup in 69 years and the PO's? its more about fiction than substance.

No surprise here. Try getting the Ranger Road Tour to come to any event in the 5 boroughs (except Hockey in Harlem) and they'll tell you no. If you live in Scarsdale or any other affluent suburb they'll come running.
