Ranger Scouts Attend Ducks/Sharks Game

According to the San Jose Mercury News, Ranger scouts where in attendance at a recent Ducks/Sharks game...

"...It might not mean anything, but with the nine-day NHL trade freeze beginning Wednesday scouts from 14 NHL teams were in the Honda Center on Sunday night.

Franchises represented were Pittsburgh, Florida, Ottawa, Columbus, Toronto, Detroit, Dallas, Boston, Vancouver, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis and both New York teams, the Rangers and Islanders..."

...not sure who the Rangers might be interested in on either of these teams, but I've seen Matthew Schneider's name mentioned as someone the Ducks are willing to part with since the return of Scott Niedermayer. With the Rangers in desperate need of an offensive minded defenseman, you never know.

Please no Schneider. The Rangers organization has already shown that brining in over-the-hill talent at the end of their career doesn't work.
