According to Eklund at HockeyBuzz, the Rangers are still eyeing a trade for a defenseman..."I am also hearing that the Rangers are intensifying their looks at a d-man, and that Liles, Morris, and even Pitkanen are popping up in talks today."
...I've seen Eklund mention Liles and Morris as potential targets for the Rangers but this is the first I've seen of the Oilers Pitkanen. Pitkanen has 4 goals, 4 assists and is a +1 on the season. Pitkanen doesn't make sense for the Rangers as he's not much of an upgrade over what we have. Although if Eklund is reporting it I probably don't have much to worry about.
