Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that the Rangers have just recalled forward Evgeny Grachev from Hartford (AHL) after right wing Ryan Callahan suffered a minor upper-body injury in this morning’s skate.
The Rangers have listed Callahan as questionable for tonight’s game against the Capitals.
...first Avery and now Callahan. What is going with these freak injuries at practice?
While Steve Zipay at Blue Notes says Sean Avery (who will be scratched for the fourth game) was the first one on the ice today and that according to Tortorella the player who sits when Avery comes back will be determined by the assessment of his play over all four games---not just tonight.
On the third line Tortorella noted...
"I think Lisin's done some good things on the power play. Five on five they played better against New Jersey."
