In his 10 Early Season Suprises feature at Fox Sports, Spector names both Ales Kotalik and Michale Del Zotto...
Under the heading "Returning to Form" Spector says this about Kotalik...
"It was widely believed the best years of L.A. Kings forward Ryan Smyth, Dallas Stars center Brad Richards, N.Y. Rangers winger Ales Kotalik and Washington Capitals center Brendan Morrison were far behind them...Kotalik, signed as a free agent by the Rangers, was scoring at nearly a point-per-game rate through nine games..."
...the guy has been worth every penny of his much criticized (including by me) $3 million per contact.
While under the heading "Rookie Sensations" he has this to say about Del Zotto...
"Topping the list is blueliner Michael Del Zotto, who not only leads all rookie scorers but also provides the Rangers with the kind of playmaking defenseman they've lacked since Brian Leetch left town."
...you always hate to see the comparison to Leetch as its not fair to put so much, so early on Del Zotto, but, man, if he keeps this up the sky is the limit for this kid.
