Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports that Mathieu Dandenault has been given a tryout with the Hartford Wolfpack.Dandenault, who played 13 years with the Red Wings and Canadiens (4-8-12 in 41 games in Montreal last year), didn't make the Sharks on a training camp tryout this year.
Zipay adds that he could be an inexpensive option for the Rangers down the road.
...sure why not. I can't think of a better option.

if he gets a 2-way contract, go nuts, otherwise I don't want this to happen. Frankly, the rangers need for a 7th D-man is dwindling unless Torts wants to take Rozsival or Redden out of the regular rotation. Obviously Gilroy and Del Zotto have removed (or are removing themselves) from that list.
Whatever. Just get Brashear out of here. Dude looks tired and we're not even 10 games in.
