Lundqvist Named Best Draft Pick of the Decade; Jessiman Worst

Ryan Lambert at Puck Daddy lists the five best and worst draft picks of the past decade with Henrik Lundqvist being named the best and former 2003 Ranger first round pick Huge Jessiman named the worst.

Jessiman is notorious for being the only player in the top 33 picks of the 2003 draft not to play in an NHL game.

...in my opinion the drafting of Jessiman sent the Rangers back years in their development. You know that gigantic hole at center ice the Rangers have? How would Zach Parise, Ryan Getzlaf or Mike Richards in the middle sound to you? FYI Brian Boyle was drafted #26 by the Kings that year.

...I refuse to believe that the same organization that drafted Jessiman was able to find a diamond in the rough like Lundqvist. So my explanation for the Rangers drafting "The King" was that they were trying to draft some obscure player named Henrik Holmqvist and mistakenly called out Henrik Lundqvist.

I wish we drafted Getzlaf.

Getzlaf as your 1st line center
Dubinsky as your 2nd line center
Anisimov as your 3rd line center
Betts as your 4th line center

Wow talk about a different team.

Betts basically does the same thing Drury does. He is great at faceoffs, kills penalties and blocks shots. And will cost about 6 million dollars less.
