Sabres 3, Rangers 2

The New York Rangers (14-15-2) lost to the Buffalo Sabres (19-9-2) by the score of 3-2, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

...it is becoming almost impossible to watch this team. Except for Gaborik, there's really nothing to get excited about.

...how is Kaleta able to celebrate like he's scoring Game 7 overtime winners without a single Ranger trying to take his head off? Brashear where are you? Orr would never let that happen.

...a combined -7 for the Avery-Drury-Callahan line. It may be time to officially break-up the Callahan-Drury combo.

...we saw a glimpse of the old power play in the first period and then awfulness.

...seven more shots on goal for Higgins and again nothing to show for it. Higgins now has a .049 shooting percentage on the season. Didn't think that was possible.

...nice to see Torts giving Heikkinen another real opportunity to show what he's got. Only 8:04 of ice time.

...off tomorrow then Atlanta's in town on Monday when hopefully Dubinsky makes his much anticipated return to the Rangers line-up.

You didn't mention how Kotalik got punished for letting Kaleta getting a breakaway by not being aloud to play on the Power Play....How is that punishment Torts? The result was NOT 1 Shot on the Power Play! They passed the puck around without a single blast from Kotalik.

I don't blame Torts for any of the Rangers woes, but he must be starting to lose his mind!

I blame him for half of the Rangers woes, and I blame Sather for the other half....
Tortorella had plenty of input on what players to sign this off-season...while his idea of how to run this team with the players he has is completely off...Other then del zotto, he has not given any of our young talent a chance at steady ice time.
It kills me to say this, but if you want to see how a hockey team should be coached and run, look across the River and see how the devils play and how their rookies have contributed and the kind of ice time they get....I bet you Renney would have this team winning.
FIRE SATHER & TORTORELLA

This team is not making the playoffs unless they do something about this right now, like FIRING torterella, he is hurting this team i believe by sitting one of the hardest shooters in the game Kotalik who is supposed to be playing the point on the power play. Brashear is so useless. Orr is top 5 in the league in penalty minutes, no one is scared of brashear anymore. Imagine if we didnt have gaborik?! Would we have any wins??? I feel bad for lundqvist. Glen sather is killing this team, Let messier please run the rangers.

this reminds me so much of last season. if the other team scores 3 goals we're done.

I'm not sure I understand the point of getting Christensen. I think I heard his name once last night.

BTW what's Drury's shooting percentage? and why is he playing the point during the powerplay? He's got nothing. even from top of the circle last night....nothing. He just keeps shooting hoping something will happen.
