Steve Zipay at Blue Notes reports that the Vinny Prospal-Brandon Dubinsky-Marian Gaborik line will be reunited for the game against Edmonton tomorrow because John Tortorella liked their play earlier in the season and because he wants to get rookie center Artem Anisimov, who the head coach liked with Higgins and Kotalik, more minutes.
...nice to see the top line reunited. And Torts has to leave the line together that finally produced a Higgins goal.
Zipay adds that Henrik Lundqvist and Gaborik were being treated for minor bumps and bruises and didn’t practice but were said to be fine. However Lundqvist does have a stiff right thigh and backup Steve Valiquette could get the start against the Oilers. Tortorella refused to confirm.
...don't think Torts has a lot of confidence in Valiquette, especially after his last start. But a start for the back-up netminder make sense for tomorrow.
