Rangers 4, Oilers 2

The New York Rangers (10-6-1) defeated the Edmonton Oilers (7-8-1) by the score of 4-2, last night. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports and newyorkrangers.com.

...nice little flashback to the seven game winning streak. Scoring, great special teams and solid defense. If it weren't for Khabibulin the Rangers would have had six or seven goals.

...you had to figure once Higgins finally scored they would come in bunches.

...was I the only one who didn't know Kotalik had that shot when the Rangers signed him?

...so much for a blueprint to stop Gaborik.

...this just in: Del Zotto can pass.

...Valiquette was definitely a bit shaky, but a win is a win and it should hold off any talks about bringing in another back-up for now.

...i guess Voros doesn't like playing time taking offensive zone penalties like that.

...welcome back to the season Ryan Callahan.

...only two goals from a Tom Renney team. That's about right.

...off today then on to Calgary for some 'sloppy seconds.'

anybody notice how much avery's game seems to have slipped? is it a nagging injury, because he just seems slow w/ and w/o the puck.
