Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Chris Drury, who was at the Rangers practice facility briefly and rode the stationary bicycle, was not ruled out by Coach John Tortorella for Thursday’s game against the Thrashers.
...i saw first hand with the Mets how teams can rush a player back too quickly from a concussion. Ask Ryan Church. So I'd rather see the Rangers give Drury a few games off before getting him back in the line-up. You don't want to mess with concussions.
The NHL has scheduled a disciplinary hearing with Curtis Glencross for the hit on Drury.
Gross also notes that with Brashear, Voros and Dane Byers on the roster, Tortorella said he does not anticipate calling anybody up from Hartford (AHL). He said he doesn’t need four centers - he could go with three (Vinny Prospal, Artem Anisimov and Brian Boyle/Christopher Higgins/Ryan Callahan/Sean Avery?) and use his fourth-liners to spell guys on the top three lines at different points of the game.
...Torts barely uses the fourth line so this makes sense. Especially with so few games coming up, guys should be fresh.

I've heard nothing but "Tortorella rarely uses four lines." Honestly I think that was years ago. This season he's been giving the fourth line significant time. Don't believe the "no fourth line" hype, watch the games.
Jack I think you need to go back and check the box scores. The fourth line is averaging about five minutes per game. That is a far cry from significant time.
Five minutes is still way too much time. What is that, like over one and a half minutes per player per game for the fourth line?
