Drury Cleared for Next Phase of Comeback

Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants reports that Chris Drury was cleared medically yesterday after his afternoon doctor’s visit to begin the next phase of his comeback from a concussion.

Gross adds that Drury came to the Madison Square Garden Training Center for a 20-minute off-ice workout today for the first time since Nov. 11, when he was sent home.

There’s still no timetable for his on-ice return.

...the Rangers and Drury are doing the smart thing taking it as slow as they have.

I hope he never comes back. This season is started to go down the drain anyway and I would rather see a young prospect get some playing time. Drury should be pubicly apologizing to Ranger fans for wasting so much salary on him. He deserves less than half of what he is really getting. I just never saw a flash of offensive talent since he has been on the Rangers. He has no hands. Why would Sather sign him for so much just to be a meatbag and block shots on the PK?
