"Here’s my concern if I’m the Rangers: Did the Canucks provide other teams with a blueprint for combating Marian Gaborik and, therefore, shutting down the Rangers’ attack? Canucks defenseman Willie Mitchell, a former teammate of Gaborik’s with the Wild, was all over Gaborik on almost every shift Gaborik was on the ice. But it was more than that, Mitchell got great support from his teammates and the Canucks were able to keep the Rangers mainly outside to the boards.
Of course, matching against Gaborik will only be effective with the Rangers on the road, so the home team can match."
...with the Rangers lack of scoring lately this could be a real problem if someone other than Gaborik doesn't step up.

Thats Rediculous! Just because one team is succesful at shutting him down in one game, does not mean that a previously undiscovered secret recipe for taming Gaborik was all of a sudden unearthed on November 3rd in Vancouver. The team had a bad offensive night, it happens, get over it. Gaborik is an elite scorer, it dosen't take unprecedented genius to try to double team him. This guy is a proven player, but just like every proven player he is not going to score every night. He will have slumps and off nights. I can't stand when the media, the intelegensia of sports, lives and dies with every shift like the average fan.
