“We played a number of games with the lines exactly as they’d been, I don’t know 6, 7, maybe in a row,” Renney said. “We went into Boston did a few changes there and gave them a heck of a run for their money. I thought we were dominant against Atlanta. So, at the end of the day you put combinations of people together that you think are going to work and there’s no question chemistry or continuity or synergy is important. At the same time if the game plan is something everyone understands and gets their head around, it shouldn’t matter a whole lot who you’re playing with. But you try to capitalize on what each guy can bring to the line.”
...is it me or has Renney become completely delusional? The other day he talks about how Prucha breaks down after a few games and now he's saying his line changes led to giving Boston a run for their money and a dominant effort against Atlanta. We scored one goal in those two games!!! And that one goal came with 10 seconds left against a Thrashers team that's 29th in the league in goals against. What in the world is he talking about?!?!?!?

The thing that baffles me about Renney and some of his seemingly irrational decisions, is that he's such an intelligent guy. It's like he out smarts himself constantly.
I was at the Atlanta gaem, and the Rangers completely outplayed them. The drury, dubi, zherdev line was generating a lot of offense.....
The biggest problem Renney has is his man crush on Voros... Its as bad as NYRfans love fest with Dawes last season
