Devils 3, Rangers 0

The New York Rangers (29-20-5) lost to the New Jersey Devils (34-17-3) by the score of 3-0, tonight. For a recap and box score go to Yahoo! Sports.

...i've said the last couple of days that Renney deserves the end of the year to turn this around. But after tonight's effort, I'm not so sure about that. If the Rangers take a beating on Wednesday against the Capitals, which very well could happen, it might be curtains for Renney.

...where is this team's pride. They come off a 10-2 romp and this is the effort they put forth. You think they'd want to redeem themselves. My only conclusion is that they've given up on their coach.

...has there been an easier shutout in the history of the NHL? Every shot the Rangers took was either from an impossible angle or from the side boards with not a single teammate within 20 feet of the goal. And how about shooting the puck along the ice. It might actually result in a rebound.

...on a positive note Orr knocked Rupp the *uck out.

...listen I'm all for bringing Avery back to try and restore some passion into this team. But passion doesn't score goals. The Rangers have scored five goals in the last five games. And two of them were from behind the goal line. Unless Renney changes from his anti-offense system, I really don't think Avery is going to make much of a difference.

...oh yeah 0-5 on the power play and Perry Pearn still has a job.

...and finally can we please put Prucha back in the line-up. Please.

...off tomorrow then the Capitals in town with Renney's job possibly on the line.

Man, that picture is killer. Most shots the past few games haven't been that sustained or, "Wow, what a save!" Bad shots tonight, bad everything pretty much. I had faith in the team tonight, I did.

How about Voros not playing for what felt like most of the second period (10:28 TOI)? Or was it the third.

Redden had 24 minutes on the ice...wow. Zero passion except for Dubi, Zherdev and Orr.

Once again Blair Betts proves that he is the most underrated player on the team. I swear he was the only one out there making good plays. Even the annoucers commented that he was an underrated player. Wish the rest of the team would play like Betts does.

Orr's fight was the highlight of the night. Well there were a few nice saves by Hank too.

Again, will someone please rescue Prucha from the press box?
