Via Twitter, Steve Zipay reports that Ryan Callahan has been named the sole alternate captain at the moment.Zipay adds that Tortorella will wait to see if another candidate emerges.
...first off, congrats to Callahan. Very much deserved. Now to the vacancy, I sort of agree with Torts thinking here. If you talked to 10 different Ranger fans you got 10 different answers on who should get the other 'A', meaning there was no clear cut candidate. I'm really curious to see who'll step-up.
In other news Zipay also Tweets that the Rangers and Alexei Semenov could not come to an agreement and is out. Apparently his wife nixed the deal.
...i guess we know who wears the pants in that relationship.

Thi sis GREAT for Cally and the Rangers. I also agree with Torts that no-one has been a clear candidate for the other A. Give it a coulpe games or weeks and see if anyone steps up
