Steve Zipay at Blue Notes has a nice piece on the Rangers newest alternate captain Ryan Callahan, who talked to Zipay about being given the distinction...“It’s quite an honor,” he said. “There’s a lot of leaders in this room even if they don’t have a letter, so hopefully there’s a lot of support. I try to pride myself in going out every night, laying it on the line and doing what I can to help the team win. I think that’s part of the reason I got it; to set an example for the rest of the guys as how to work.”
...Callahan started the season right where he left off last year, playing as hard as he can and hitting anything that moves.
