Avery In, Lisin Out?

Steve Zipay at Blue Notes thinks that Enver Lisin is a candidate to sit when Sean Avery comes back from injury...

"Avery-Anisimov-Kotalik could be interesting. The speedy Lisin has some quality offensive upside (not a fourth liner) and has been crummy without the puck so far. So maybe he sits and watches and learns more about D. I get the sense that a goal might set him loose and Torts thinks he can be taught. And I'm not giving up on Anisimov. That's insane."

...with Lisin not a fourth line player, this seems like the most logical scenario. Unless Torts wants to move Prospal to center and sit Boyle.

Have to agree with Zip here..I wouldnt sit boyle, as Torts has been trying him on the PK, and if that works out thats some rest for our top guys that might be out there otherwise. Of course, we could've just re-signed betts...

No way Torts breaks up the first line of Dubi, Prospal, and Gaborik--they've been too good. Lisin will sit.

I agree with Zipay... by putting Avery on the top line and moving prospal, you are effectively changing the chemistry of 3 or 4 lines.

This s unnecessary when the team is generally playing well.

Playing Avery on the 3rd line in place of Lisin only changes 1 line and adds a sparkplug to a line that has been otherwise mediocre.

Avery on the third line would be great. He's probably better than most NHL teams' third liners.
