Andrew Gross at Ranger Rants give us an update on Wade Redden, who John Tortorella felt confident would be back in the line-up on Saturday...
On the injury, Redden explained...
“From what it was three days ago to today, it’s a lot better. It depends on how it goes. There’s lots of time in between. We don’t have to make a decision right away. We’ll see how it feels. The more important thing is that nothing’s really wrong.
“It’s pretty close (to a full range of motion). I’m not able to do everything I want to do, that’s why I didn’t skate (with the team).”
On Redden's importance to the team, Marc Staal noted...
“His presence around the room, he’s kind of like a steadying hand for the D,” Staal said. “A lot of times, he’ll calm us down and get our focus back. Both, during the course of a game and in between periods, he’s always speaking up and making sure we stay focused.”
...is Staal talking about the same Wade Redden? Kidding, as its obvious the Rangers have missed Redden the last three games as proved by the 18 goals allowed.
